vlookup

thank you for your help todate.

I am still having a little trouble fully understanding the vlookup formula to the enth degree. I want to match exactly the name of the lookup value, there are other names in table array as below
lookup value Australia Mobile
Names table array
Australia
Australia Adelaide
Australia Mobile
Australia Sydney

any ideas
 

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.

What formula are you using?

What is the error message or problem with your result?

You could search this board for addtional information on VLookups.

to find an exact match, use "FALSE" or "0" as the 4th arguement in your VLOOKUP formula
