volume?

This is not a practical joke. I am looking to set the volume of the speakers to make sure people will hear the sound file coming through. I would then like for the volume to reset back to what it was originally. Is there a way to do this?

I saw the thread in the lounge, but cannot seem to make it set to a certain volume and reset back to its' original.

and to add to it, I am also looking for vba to pull the initials from someones name. is there a way to do that? here is a part of what I have to show somewhat what I am doing
