Want to see if this is possible without writing a macro.

I have many rows of "repeated" data from different days with different values. Names of employees will repeat many times down column A with values I want to count in columns B, C, etc.

I have all my employees listed vertically in Range J1:J10 lets say.

I want to count all values in Column C where Range J1 matches the value in Column A.

I hope this makes sense.

I can accomplish this quite easily with a For Each statement but I want this to be a formula driven count.

Thank you.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.

Maybe:

=SUMIF(A1:A10,J1,C1:C10)
