Waterfall chart with variable column widths

Could someone please offer guidance on how to construct a waterfall chart with variable column widths?

Thanks Glenn, unfortunately not quite what I'm after. In terms of a better explanation, I am effectively seeking to cross a waterfall chart:

with a Marimekko chart:

http://andypope.info/charts/colwidth2.htm

So that the width of the columns displays a further variable.

That second link shows a variable stacked column width chart ... setting the lower fill to blank will give you what you want, won't it ( with arithmetic to line up you blocks like a waterfall )? Maybe you could show your source data and describe what figure are for what parts of the chart.
