A monthly trial balance report can be downloaded to Excel. More or less accounts may be downloaded in subsequent months. So you can have a workbook with several worksheets of different sizes (number of rows) representing each month. The first column (field) contains both an account and account description. The 5th column has the amount.

Is there a way to create one summary worksheet with all the accounts from the other monthly worksheets in column A, in account order, followed by columns of monthly Year to Date balances ? The account and description are in column A and the balance in column E.

Thanks, interesting, but not quite what I'm looking for

Thanks WSC,

What you referred me to was interesting but it wasn't quite what I'm looking for.
