I have imported data into an excell sheet with ease, however i am having trouble with the conditional formatting side of the data.

How can i make the cell change a colour, while using web based queiries ???

I have tried "format, Conditional Formatting", and set the cell to

equal to ="r" but when R is in that cell the cell does not change colour

If it's R you are testing for why not use R?

="R"

If it's R or r you want to test for you would need to use a formula.

=UPPER(A1)="R"

Using ="r" is not case sensitive and if you chose "Cell Value Is" "equal to" and ="r" in the dialog box you should get a result. I suspect that you have something else in the cells in addition to "r". Check for spaces and stuff.
