I have excel 07 in Windows XP and am trying to pull some data from website, but when I'm pulling the site into excel it only allows me to select the entire webpage, not the specific table of data I want. I'm assuming it's the website that isn't coding it as a table, but it's annoying when I import the data, there is 200+ lines of data that I don't need.

Is the best way to just write a marco to clean up the info I don't need, or is there a way to manipulate the "edit query" so I can select the specific data I want.

thanks,

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Have the web query import the entire page and either delete the data you don't want (as you say), or copy/reference the data you do want to a separate sheet.
