Weird Excel Behavior - Have you seen this?

I have a user that is not able to get an excel file to open. This is what it does. It will open, but nothing will come up on his screen. Almost like it is locked up, but if he does print preview, he can see it. Anyone else that opens this file is able to open it no problem. Have you ever seen this and any ideas why this is happening? He is on excel 97 Windows 2000.

All ways that I stated give me the same error.

Worksheet names: Pre-quote cklst, Quote Diary, template, labor est, mat pricing, excess, quote pricing, bid detail.

OK,
try to open a new workbook, put this into A1 and drag down and across couple of rows/columns:
='C:\Documents and Settings\martink\My Documents\[Rimage 626411.xls]Quote Diary'!A1

of course adjust
C:\Documents and Settings\martink\My Documents
to your path.

Does the formula show any values?
