what is the alternate of XlCellTypeVisible

I am trying to find a faster way to replace the following code.

Select Case ActiveSheet.AutoFilter.Range.Columns(1). _
SpecialCells(xlCellTypeVisible).Count - 1

any suggestions pls

What's wrong with what you have?

You could try

Select Case WorksheetFunction.Subtotal(3, ActiveSheet.AutoFilter.Range.Columns(1)) - 1

I don't know that it would be any faster.
