what is the best formula for find and replace

Hi:-

I have this symbol # which is repeated so many times inside my excel document
and i want to replace all the # symbols in my document with a#

what is the best formula to do it ?

Select a single cell, Ctrl+H to open Find/Replace dialog, open the Options and change dropdown to Within Workbook.

# in Find box
a# in Replace box

click Replace All.

Try Find and Replace:

Press Ctrl + H and type in: Find What: #, Replace With: a#
