what is the function TABLE used for?
any help will be appreciated.
thx

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
it might be a UDF? Do you have something in the workbook? Or it could be a 3rd party add-in

That looks like a custom Function that someone wrote.

Press ALT + F11 to open the VBA window.

see if you see any code in there that looks like

Function Table(some stuff here)

Post that code here.

Jonmo1...I guess you'r right. When Idid Alt F11, there is some macro wrriten behind it. SO I guess the worble "TABLE" could be any thing as long as a macro is associated with that OR the word "TABLE" actually has some functionality?

What you may have is a Table created with Data>Table. This excel tool is usually used for model testing, sensitivity analysis... It allows 1 or 2 variables. It's very handy to check how the model depends on variables.

Hope this helps
