Whats wrong with this bit of code run time error 13

I get a debug error when I run this

Sub test()


    MyReg = "April"
    Set rngFnd = Sheets("Sheet1").Columns("A:A").Find(What:=MyReg, After:=ActiveCell, LookIn:=xlFormulas, _
        LookAt:=xlPart, SearchOrder:=xlByRows, SearchDirection:=xlNext, _
        MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False)
        
End Sub

What line does it error on?

Hi

You need to ensure the Activecell is in the column you are searchin, otherwise it will error. You could amend to:

Sub test() 


    MyReg = "April" 
    Set rngFnd = Sheets("Sheet1").Columns("A:A").Find(What:=MyReg, After:=Sheets("Sheet1").Range("A1"), LookIn:=xlFormulas, _ 
        LookAt:=xlPart, SearchOrder:=xlByRows, SearchDirection:=xlNext, _ 
        MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False) 
        
End Sub

or just leave out the After: parameter altogether.
