Hi Everyone,
I appreciate this is a different type of question but I'm just wondering why i don't see many people using "[A1]" to reference a cell instead of Range("A1")
it clearly a lot quicker to type, and I know it cant be used all the time, but when it can why is it not used?

if its just personal choice then fine, but I use it all the time and worry these something i don't know about it?

any idea advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Tony

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
You don't get the Intellisense using this notation.
See it as part of Excel, instead of VBA

VBA Code:
Sub jec()
[A1:A20] = [if(A1:A20 <> "","test","")]
End Sub
