Why excel not automatically calculating

For some reason my workbook is not automatically updating I have to F9 everytime does anyone the Reason why this is happening. Or how to fix this???

You have to go into your options and turn automatic calculation back on or run the following macro if you can't find it:

Sub AutoCalc()
    Application.Calculation = xlCalculationAutomatic
End Sub

Hi thanks for quick reply. I haven't used anything in a code to turn off calculation. Is this a safety feature on excel??

No, it just sometimes happens. Excel 2007 it's under Menu > Excel Options > Formulas > Workbook Calculation.

You can push F1 and search for Workbook Calculation if you are using a different version.

It's under Tools-->Options in earlier versions.
