Why is My Pivot Chart Blank?

Hi,

I am trying to insert a pivot chart but none of the data series are appearing in the chart. The axes are there along with the legend but not the data itself. I've spent all morning trying to get it to work but can't see what I am doing wrong.

I can get a single series to appear if I use the SelectionName dropdown but I want all series together.

Can anyone see the problem?

So the pivot table is sparsely populated, very few actual data values with gaps in between.

Your pivot chart is a line chart without markers. Blanks in the data are gaps in between data points. The points are there but not signified by any markers, and the connecting lines don't appear because they are all gaps.

Right click on the chart, click on Select Data. Click on the Hidden and Empty Cells button, choose the Connect Points with Lines option. Now you'll see a lot of horizontal lines connecting the sparse points. If this doesn't look good, click Ctrl+Z to undo (or go bck to the Select Data dialog and change your option), then choose a line chart style that shows markers.
