why it doesn't start from row 1

I'm using a macro and with this i copy a value to a column...

'valueShare.Copy
'Worksheets("Sheet2").range(colSheet2).End(xlUp).Offset(1, 0).PasteSpecial xlValues

but it starts from row2 and row1 is empty, why?

If the column is empty end up goes to row 1. Then offset(1, 0) goes to row2.
