Will my excel for Mac 2011 run on a PC?

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Hi, Bradfdlad,

I can´t find any macros in the workbook so I do not get the need to make it a xlsm. You should consider to protect the columns in the single sheets to avoid deleting the formulas and let only the data entry areas open. And if I would work with macros I would enable the users to delete the entries for a single row, a whole sheet or all data sheets in the workbook.

Thanks, Holger. Good ideas! I protected the formula columns as you suggested. The reason I saved the spreadsheet as an xlsm file was because there were less compatibility issues listed in my Mac version of Excel. I don't really understand what much of it means. Would I be better off saving it as an xls file? Also, I would really like the user to be able to delete entries for a single row. Do you have any suggestions for how I might do this?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi, Bradfdlad,

the fileformat should be considered by those who may use the workbook on a PC and the version of Excel they have installed.

As I don´t own a MAC I may only guess that with a PC I´d go with a floating button placed on the ActiveCell row which would clear the entries from the activecell row (and leave the columns with formulas alone) with VBA.

Ciao,
Holger
