Word - recovering an old version of a file

Hi

My younger sister is currently working on a university essay. The bulk of the essay had disappeared when she opened the saved version of the file. The only thing we can think of is that she highlighted the text to do a wordcount, and then managed to hit delete before saving.

She was saving it regularly before this - is there any way to recover an older version of the file that was saved prior to the text being deleted?

Many thanks

James

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
