Was just upgraded to Excel 2010 today.

When I click on ANY Excel file that has already been created - Excel will open, but the file that I clicked on won't open. I have to hit the FILE/OPEN, inside Excel to get the file to appear.

Moe, Larry and Curly - my IT guys - are unfortunately glued to their seats today. From where they are seated they have no idea why this is happening, nor are they able to offer any solutions.

Now I understand that you all are not IT people - but I am hoping that just one of you has run into this problem at some point and can offer SOME/ANY wisdom.

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Did a quick search on google and found this microsoft article which suggests to try the following:

1) Click the File tab, and then click Options.
2) Click Advanced, and then click to clear the Ignore other applications check box in the General area.
3) Click OK.

Give that a shot :)

You mean Moe, Larry and Curly really didn't even need to get up off their chairs!!! They knew I had installed another application - sure enough, that was it! Thanks.
