I have a big workbook that is 4.06MB that resides on the server (SBS 2003, HP Proliant ML350, dual Xeon 2.8's, 2GB RAM etc) Gigabit from the server to the switch and then 100MB to the workstations (P4 2.8Ghz, 1GB RAMetc) Is there some way to optimize the file so that it will load a litlle quicker? Any other ideas on what to do. Thanks - Richard

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Set calculation to Manual, make sure there are no macros running when open, split up the file into different workbook? Probably nothing that you'd like to hear :)
