I am probably being stupid, but help needed. I am trying to copy sheet1 from workbook1 to workbook2. I am using Excel 2003.



Now I was lead to believe that if you opened both workbooks and then went to the workbook you want to copy from right click the sheet tab and you will see a box containing "move or copy" so far so good.

I then click this select the sheet to copy, but the other workbook does not appear in the "To Book" drop down list only the original workbook1.

I thought all open workbooks appeared in the drop-down list.


Any help greatly appreciated

I have just tested your issue on Excel 2003 and cannot recreate your problem. Both workbooks are displayed in the To drop down list together with an option for (new workbook).

You may have more luck if you open them both in the same instance of excel

as in open excel, then file open the two workbooks
