FIRST,
I apologize, I did not know where to ask this question, and mistakenly sent it through the wrong channels

is there not a way to upload workbooks?
perhaps adding this option in a future update to the software
 
No, there isn't. See section B in the posting guidelines: Guidelines
 
any chance of adding this option in the future?
it might make some tasks a bit easier..
 
I doubt it. It has been discussed numerous times before and the decision has always been not to allow them.
 
People have also been known to upload their files to file sharing sites (like DropBox, OneDrive, etc) and provides links to those files in their posts.
