Workbook (very) slow inserting/deleting rows

Hello All,

I am working on an operational forecasting model that is 45.2MB in ".xlb" format. Development requires coping an pasting of modules but it takes over two minutes to insert just one row.

I have removed files in XLSTART, removed unnecessary ".xla" files, removed conditional formatting and renamed the file.

A full calculation takes 2.1 seconds (timed using FASTExcel form Charles Williams).

Possibly the file is corrupted.

I would appreciate your thoughts ....

Did you check for unwanted (copied) shapes ?

for each sh in sheets
   msgbox sh.shapes.count
next

Did you check for double/triple etc. CF rules ?
Did you reduce teh usedrange tot a minimum ?

I have checked the UsedRanges using JWalk's PUP v7.

Please explain the double/triple CF rules.

Are you running macros ?
Are they constantly updating value ?
