Why is it when this code is saved in Workbook_BeforeSave, Excel does close down:

Code:
        Q = InputBox("y /n")

        If Q = "y" Then
            Application.DisplayAlerts = False
            Application.EnableEvents = False
            ThisWorkbook.Save
        Else
            Cancel = True
        End If

        Application.DisplayAlerts = False
        Application.EnableEvents = False

        ThisWorkbook.Close

but when the code is in Workbook_BeforeClose, Excel remains?

Thanks

Maybe I don't understand your question. In the BeforeSave event, you are canceling a save, not a close. In the BeforeClose event, you are canceling close. Agree?
