I have a little bit of a dilemma with a formula. I use the formula to shutdown the days at month end based on eomonth. I have been asked to do something similar but only using weekdays so tried using the workday function as noted. Unfortunately, the way it is written it will move to the next month if a month end falls on a weekend. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
I am not quite sure I completely follow the logic.

Can you prvoide a few simple examples of your "input" dates, and what dates should result from your formula based on those "input" dates?

Thanks Joe 4,

If the worksheet did not try to exlude weekends it would bascially stop the formula from shifting the day into the next month by looking at the cell immediately above. What is happening is when a day like April 29, 2011 shows up on the Friday, the weekend sees May 1 on the Sunday so it posts Monday as May 2, 2011 as it believes the formala to be in the same eomonth, but all I want in each worksheet is for the formula to shutoff at the end of each month rather than starting a new month. Does this make sense?

USe the MONTH function to compare the MONTH of the newly calculated date to the original one, and if the MONTH is different, return a blank (otherwise return the calculation).

Thank you Joe4. Sometimes we trip over the simple basics believing there is a more complicated solution to many issues. Many thanks!
