I hope this is simple? I wish to take the now time away from a finish, both cells are formatted to time, just need to know what forumla works best and why.

<b>Excel 2003</b><table cellpadding="2.5px" rules="all" style=";background-color: #FFFFFF;border: 1px solid;border-collapse: collapse; border-color: #A6AAB6"><colgroup><col width="25px" style="background-color: #E0E0F0" /><col /><col /></colgroup><thead><tr style=" background-color: #E0E0F0;text-align: center;color: #161120"><th></th><th>A</th><th>B</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">23</td><td style=";">NOW</td><td style="text-align: right;;">2:33:18 PM</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">24</td><td style=";">Finish</td><td style="text-align: right;;">4:30:00 PM</td></tr></tbody></table><p style="width:3.6em;font-weight:bold;margin:0;padding:0.2em 0.6em 0.2em 0.5em;border: 1px solid #A6AAB6;border-top:none;text-align: center;background-color: #E0E0F0;color: #161120">Sheet1</p><br /><br /><table width="85%" cellpadding="2.5px" rules="all" style=";border: 2px solid black;border-collapse:collapse;padding: 0.4em;background-color: #FFFFFF" ><tr><td style="padding:6px" ><b>Worksheet Formulas</b><table cellpadding="2.5px" width="100%" rules="all" style="border: 1px solid;text-align:center;background-color: #FFFFFF;border-collapse: collapse; border-color: #A6AAB6"><thead><tr style=" background-color: #E0E0F0;color: #161120"><th width="10px">Cell</th><th style="text-align:left;padding-left:5px;">Formula</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><th width="10px" style=" background-color: #E0E0F0;color: #161120">B23</th><td style="text-align:left">=NOW(<font color="Blue"></font>)</td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></table><br />

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Which formula works best:-
Code:
=B24-B23
Why? Because you want to subtract B23 from B24!

The NOW() function also returns the date.

So, you probably need:

=MOD(B24-B23,1)

Format as h:mm

Gah, of course - I hang my head in shame. :(

MOD discards the day part of the calculation, leaving just the time.
