Worksheet Links

I have links set up in a log sheet that link to a master worksheet. When the part number is added to a cell in the log sheet, all the other cells in that specific row of the log sheet auto fill with the corresponding cell information from the master worksheet. My problem is when I save the master worksheet, all of the remaining row links change with the name change of the master file.

Question: How do I keep my links to the "blank" master in the log sheet rows after I make the link and save the master as a different file name?

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Perhaps Save and Close the "blank" master FIRST.
THEN Save the master as a different name.

Thanks but I tried that and even though the original row in the log sheet did what I want, the remaining, empty rows in the log sheet links all changed to the new name of the saved master file. Basically, I want all the empty rows in the log sheet linked to the blank master and only one row of links change when I save the master as a part number to match the links.

It may not be possible, but it would be great for me if we can get this to work.
