Worksheet protection with Subtotal/Group function

Hello,

I am building a multi-user worksheet that is using subtotal and group functions. I am trying to use the native worksheet protection to keep users from accidentally changing data. I'm finding that when the protection is active I am unable to use the collapsing function for subtotals and groups. I've tried adjusting the options on the worksheet protection but haven't had any luck.

I'm sure that there is an obvious answer to this, but does anyone have any idea what I'm missing?

Thanks in advance.
