I'm trying to write a Macro in Excel to go out and open up the Access Program so I can proceed with importing an Excel Spreadsheet into Access. Each time I try to record the Macro I go through all my steps and assign a hot key to activate the Macro. However, when I either run the Macro or use the hot key it will not open up the Access Program. Any suggestions on what I need to do in order to make this Macro work.

If you have a solution for me please email at Rick_Scott@SmithBucklin.com

Thanks,
Rick

Hi - Welcome to the board

post some of the code. You can open access using the shell command. Post what you are using now and we will take a look.

you already posted this.

and i believe excel will not record any *movements* outside of excel, and will take some advanced coding.
