How can you get an average of a group of numbers while ignoring zeros AND the numbers are not in a range. Like a3, a6, a8,a9 etc... How can you do this?

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off

=SUM(A1:A2,A4:A5,A7:A9)/MAX(1,COUNTIF(A1:A2,">0")+COUNTIF(A4:A5,">0")+COUNTIF(A7:A9,">0"))

will compute an average of positive numbers in non-consecutive ranges [ A1:A2,A4:A5,and A7:A9 ]ignoring zeroes in the process.
