I'm having a problem quitting excel. When I try to quit, a message box comes up informing me that I "Cannot quit Microsoft Office Excel". It's a very informative message box indeed. I think microsoft prides themselves on dispensing as little information to the user as possible. BRAVO MICROSOFT  Meanwhile, I'm wondering if I'm going to screw something up if I Cntrl+Alt+Del and manually shut it down from Task Manager. Anyone know what the problem could be? I can shut down individual files (including personal workbook).

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Usually it means excel is engaged with some other object or some other object is engaged with it. As long as your files are saved just end task it. (At your own risk of course  )
