When I use vlookup and return the correct data, I lose the Boldface format codes from the original data. Is there any way to keep the original format? Thanks!

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Hi Jon,

The simple answer is no. Functions can only return data, and cannot format cells in any way. Only macros (and manual editing) can do this. It would be possible to write a macro that would format the text exactly the same way it is formatted in your lookup table.
