    I think the user wanted a macro to do this, which is why I suggested.

    Select an empty Cell

    And copy it

    Now select the cell(s) which you have apostrophe before the date.

    Make a right click and select Paste Special

    Then select the formats button in the options window opened

    and press Ok

    It solves you problem
