file "locked for editing" read only(homeoffice - single user

file heading is listed as Read Only,& locked by me. I brought it in from QuattroPro; it's now in Excel, NEVER locked it,but it's untouchable & undeleteable.
Attribute is clearly NOT read only.Saving with new name produces same lock. Supposed Unprotect doesn't show in dialog box.....
Very frustrating.....
 

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
