how to turn off launch of email browser

Whenever I create a formula that sums a column, for some reason an email is launched with the formula as the "send to address" in a new email browser.

How can I turn off this extremely annoying "feature"?

does this occur in one excel program only?
or all of them?

I am using Microsoft Office XP professional. And it occurs on every spreadsheet I open in this software. Any help you can provide much appreciated. Thanks.
