The task:

When user inputs, say, number '1' into cell D3 of Book1, sheet1, copy data in cell B3 of sheet1 to cell B3 of Book2, sheet1.

Similarly, if the number '2' is the input, copy data in cell B3 of sheet1 to B3 of Book2, sheet2.

Thanks.

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Put something like this into your sheet 2 cells:

=sheet1!b2

:)
