How do I get rid of this problem? I can't format my cells...it keeps giving me this message. How can I either get around this problem or delete existing "formats" that aren't needed?
Hmmm...interesting. This only happens with really large spreadsheets...where I have a bunch of formats, etc. I just wish Excel didn't have a limit on formats.

Hi Roger:
Even in a large spreadsheet you may have cells formatted in columns and rows that span beyond your useful data range. So you may want to delete all columns past your useful data range, and then similarly delete all rows past your useful data range, then save the workbook, reopen and gage the difference.
