After Update (Event Procedure)

Hello,

I created a form called frmPubsMainTable and a subform called frmJOINPubsMainJournalAuthorsubform. I would like the field in the main
form "FirstAuthorID" when update with data to auto-fill the"AuthorID" in the subform. <o></o>

This is my code but I keep getting this error: Compile error: Method or data member not found<o></o>

Private Sub
FirstAuthorID_AfterUpdate()

Me.frmJOINPubsMainJournalAuthorsubform.AuthorID = Me.FirstAuthorID

Hi, you can try:

FirstAuthorID_AfterUpdate()
Me.frmJOINPubsMainJournalAuthorsubform.Form.AuthorID = Me.FirstAuthorID
End Sub

I think that's how that goes - off the top of my head.

If there is a parent child relationship and you have created the relationship explicitly, it might also automatically update that ID without you having do anything else other than make sure the subform has the proper parent-child relationship defined.
