Hi,

I have two tables one lists employs with various dates and another a list of pay rates and the dates that they were valid from?

Am I correct in thinking that Power Pivot can't deal with joining these tables and I would have to use formula to bring the rates of pay into the fist table?

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
Well Power Pivot can definitely deal with it, but it depends what you are trying to do. When you say you have a table of Employees with various dates, what are the dates? Does each employee have only 1 record, or are there multiple records for each employee?

In the Pay Rates table, what is the link to the employee? Is it the employee number or something else?

What is your objective?
