Trying to connect power query to a folder on my desktop to bring .txt files to be analyzed. (I had this working in the past not sure what happened). When I look at the query editor the preview is bringing in 96 rows as intended and tells me there are over 999 rows. When I click close and load I get the initialization of the data source failed error. I read an article that said to uninstall and reinstall because I could be using an old version of excel, but I am using 2016. Before I got IT involved I was wondering if anyone knew a quicker fix

Shot in the dark, but you didn't change the name of the folder, the location of the folder, or permissions on the folder did you?
