Hello there,

I've got a Bubble Chart which is linked to a drop down menu containing 6 options.

I want to have the bubbles change color depending on which option is chosen in the drop-down menu.

Is this possible without VBA?

Thanks kindly,
Paul.

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
In order to get the colours to change I had to create 6x as many series' as my first chart (one for each option in the drop down). This resulted in approximately 1800 or so data series (actually had to overlay multiple charts with transparent backgrounds because I hit the series limit). Each of these 1800 data series was formatted separately to obtain different colours and each was also tied to a different value... so that if one drop down was chosen the other 5 options would have a value of zero and effectively be invisible.

This is quite tedious and time consuming, hopefully this option finds itself onto a future version of excel.
