I have a 12 month column chart with the columns representing scores from 0-10 along the left vertical axis. Horizontal axis are the 12 months.

Now on the right axis I would simply like to label the fact that a score of, say 3, is equal to 1000, and a score of 5 is equal to 3000, a score of 7 is equal to 5000, etc. Will allow the reader to see the score of 3, and then follow the major unit line across and see 'ahh that is equal to an underlying value of 1000'.

Is this possible to do without actually plotting any data for this 'secondary' axis?

Thanks a ton.

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
Sure,
First, make your chart with data, (and at the end - delete the data)
Select the second data series, Right click and Format Data Series,
Series Option - Secondary Axis
Select the right side axis labels in the chart, right click, Format Axis
Axis Options: set the values to Fixed, Min 0, Max 7000
Now you can change the left axis the same way,
now delete your data.
Hope that isn't too brief for you?
Cheers,
