Hi Everyone! I desperately need some help.

I am trying to make my sheet time stamp a customers arrival time based on a condition in an adjacent cell. But, that column has a drop down list of 6 choices. I want column C cells to return the time that Column D cells select "Customer Arrived" from the drop down and then I do not want column C cells to update ever again.

I look forward to any advice.

Scott

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
I think this code should do it

Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Target.Row > 1 And (Target.Column = 3) Then
If Target.Value <> "Customer Arrived" Then Exit Sub
Application.EnableEvents = False
Target.Offset(0, 1).Value = FormatDateTime(Now, vbGeneralDate)
Application.EnableEvents = True
End If
End Sub

Welcome to the Board!

I'd also add a test to see if there's an existing timestamp, so it doesn't get overwritten.
