I have Excel 2016 and am trying to stop 'zero drop' in the chart
I know I had it working in earlier versions

This is the formula a tried
=IF(SUMIF(D36:O36,">0")=0,NA(),SUMIF(D36:O36,">0"))

is there a different way in 2016?

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
I don't think you need SUMIF and IF at the same time. Use one or the other.

The SUMIF says show all sums greater than zero and the IF says "IF ZERO THEN" you should be able to see now that the SUMIF will never allow a zero to be passed to the IF thus your result will always be:

You can simplify your code to this:
Code:
=SUMIF(D36:O36,">0")

OR
try the equation with just SUM inside the IF

Code:
=IF(SUM(D36:O36)=0,NA(),SUM(D36:O36))

This formula would create a #N/A whenever the sum of D36:O36 is not above 0. Are you getting something else?
