Is there anyway to use the third dimension as a vector.

I know I can do {=sum((a2:a6="x")*b2:b6)}, how can I do something like:
={sum((sheet1:sheet6!b6="x")*b2:b6)} or
={sum((sheet1:sheet6!b6)*(a1:g1))}

Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off

Number of cells/sheets in 3d-range must be equal to the number of cells in the ordinary range...

Control+shift+enter, not just enter:

=SUM(THREED(Sheet1:Sheet6!B6)*TRANSPOSE(A1:F1))

THREED is available in the free morefunc.xll add-in.
