Hello All!

I have been working on a spreadsheet for the past 8 hours, and yes.... I deleted it!!!!

I am trying to figure out where auto recovery might have stored it, when I do a search I only come up with the original document without the past 8 hours work on it.

Please help if you can!!

Lorie

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
I suspect this is too late, but if you have Excel XP or 2003 and have not closed Excel then go Tools>Options...Save and note the autosave location, go to that location and rename the file you find there with an extension of ..xls (It will have none by default). This is your file and will now open in excel.

If you have versions other than those above OR you have closed Excel then I'm afraid you are out of luck :(

If it was ever saved data recovery software will find it. Did you look in the recycle bin? Win 7 has shadow copies if you had that enabled.
