I want to be able to type in a value into a cell and then have it add
a same value in each cell

So if C3 value is 55 and in cells D3 to L3 I start adding numbers
I want it to add 55 to each cell

So if I type 400 in D3 I want it to add 55 and so the value would automatically change to 455 when I shift to the next cell D4

So if I type 440 in D4 I want it to add 55 and so the value would automatically change to 495 when I shift to the next cell D5

I keep get the circular error message or when I type in the value
it wipes out the formula.

Welcome to the Board. :)

Using vba code, you might be able to get what you want:

Code:
Sub test()
    Dim myi As Long
    Dim i As Integer
    For i = 4 To 12
        Cells(3, i).Value = Cells(3, i).Value + Cells(3, 3).Value
    Next i
End Sub
This could be adjusted to use in a workbook module for use with an update button, or in worksheet module to update automatically.
