Adding a number consecutively...

Hi, i am new to excel and am wondering if there is a way to add a number to each of the cells in a column to go from 0 to 100,000 in 1000 increments. Hopefully that makes sense to you experts. Thanks for the help and hopefully i will here back asap... I have an assignment due :)

Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type

Write 0 in A1.
Edit>Fill>Series, Series in:Columns, Type:Linear, Step: 1000, Stop:100000
