im alittle new to excel and curious about deleting the older addition with the new sum of the already added total.
so if i add =a1+a2 to get the total in cell a3 but then want a1 to be replaced with a3 and be able to add new values to a2 so the total can be changed off the already existing sum, how would i do that?
thanks so much!

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Hi. When you use Formula, its called variables because the result linked to any date that can be changed. Everytime you change A1, it will affect all other formula calculation. if you put A1=A3 then you'll get error (because it will be loop).

I suggest you use other cell to add new calculation.
