Adding the total from a different worksheet

Hi,

I'm trying to add the totals from a Data sheet onto a Totals sheet.

Here's the Data Sheet:
N O P
Chinese II B 3 Teacher 1
Chinese I B 3 Teacher 1
Chinese I A 3 Teacher 1
Middle Chinese II 0 Teacher 1
Middle Chinese I 0 Teacher 1
Elementary Chinese I 0 Teacher 1
Chinese III B 2 Teacher 1
Elementary Chinese II 0 Teacher 1


Then I'm trying to add the sum of the O column into C2 of this sheet, and I basing the totals on what appears in this sheet from the A3 cell).

A B C
People Total
Teacher 1 11

Here's the formula I have:
SUMIF(Data!$P$2:$P$22),$A3,(Data!$O$2:$O$22)

It does not work

This doesn't work either:
=SUMIF(Data!$o$2:$o$112=$A3)
